Introduction:
Jambo! This is the Swahili word meaning hello, and a word that the three of us have gotten very familiar saying recently. We will be referring to “us” a lot in this blog so we’ll go ahead and introduce ourselves! From left to right we are Kassidy Galbraith, James Gray, and Morgan McClarnon. We are students from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) taking a three-week journey to Kenya to fulfill the requirements for our sports marketing course. We are in the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management each hoping to pursue different avenues in our careers, whether that is in fitness studies, event planning or travel and tourism. We plan to document our tourism experiences as we go along, giving a short summary of the events we are doing and better yet places we are visiting and the people we meet along the way. Hopefully this will be of some assistance to anyone wanting a tourist’s true outlook on tourist destinations throughout The Rift Valley and various parts of Kenya!
